Crime Prevention

In 2010, Foxhall Village had a rash of break-ins and thefts from cars. NeighborhoodWatch We strongly advise residents and their guests to leave NO items of value in their cars, even during daytime hours. There were also three incidents of pedestrians being accosted by one or two young men wearing ski masks; in two cases the men were armed with a gun. In December 2010, there were several burglaries of residences, including one in which the residents were home at the time. The FCCA worked with police to step up patrols, which are still ongoing.

We encourage everyone to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to 911 immediately. In response to the crime, Foxhall Village restarted its Neighborhood Watch group.

    • Police Report: Officer McElwee will address concerns and questions raised by attendees
    • Guest Speaker: Our local representative from the DC Historic Preservation Office and the Department of Buildings will discuss permitting requirements in both historically protected areas as well as non-protected areas.General Discussion: Attendees can bring up any questions or concerns.All are welcome to attend, whether or not you are a member of the FCCA.  Of course, we would like you to be a part of the FCCA.  You can bring your 2026 dues payment to the meeting.     FCCA Halloween Fun at the lower Q Street Circle (near the intersection of Q Street and 44th), Saturday October 31st, 5-6PM (before trick-or-treating)  Don your costumes and enjoy Halloween crafts with the kids. Bring your own beverages (BYOB)
