2012 Art Walk & Sale

Continuing their successful holiday event for a second year, the Foxhall Artists Collective hosted a holiday Art Walk and Sale on December 2nd.  Formed in 2011, the Foxhall Artists Collective brings together artists and art lovers in our Foxhall community via a variety of meetings, get- togethers and special events.  Eleven neighborhood artists displayed and sold their work this year at three open houses.  Art Walk attendees were delighted with the range and quality of the work including photography by Robert Mikolitch, woodwork by Steve Barnard, textiles and prints by Lisa Wood, collage by Penelope Woolley, glasswork by Chris Anninos, textiles by Amy Scheinman, jewelry by Sara Paulson, photography by Holly Foss, paintings by Iris Fabrikant and Christiane Feller, and needlepoint by Tanya Gospodinova.

Once again, the trees in the Q Street Circle were adorned with beautiful lights by Foxhall neighbor and landscaper, Paul Ward, and provided a festive backdrop for the art event.  Steven Barnard, woodworker, graciously donated a beautiful wooden bowl for this years’ raffle.  Elliott and Vicki Crooke won the raffle and took home the bowl.

Many thanks to all who participated in the show, and to those who stopped by to support the neighborhood artists.

The Foxhall Artists Collective provides a neighborhood forum and friendly networking group for all interested and welcomes new members. For more information about the Collective, contact Chris Anninos.
